FILE PREFERENCES (In Order of Preference)

WORKING or NATIVE
(Include all fonts, .125 Bleed, & CMYK Images)
Adobe InDesign CS2 - CS3 {.indd or .inx}
Quark 6.5 - 7 {.qxp}
Adobe Photoshop CS2 - CS3 {.psd}
(Option 1: Flatten Image & Option 2: Do not flatten layers & Include Fonts)
Adobe Illustrator CS2 - CS3 {.ai}
Microsoft Publisher (Collect for Commercial Printing)

GRAPHIC IMAGES
(CMYK & 300DPI, Embed, Outline or Include All Fonts)
.EPS (Binary encoded w/ Tiff 8-Bit Preview)
.TIFF (Layered, Transparency & LZW Compress - OK)
.PSD (Option 1: Flatten Image & Option 2: Do not flatten layers & Include Fonts)
.PDF (Press Quality, PDF/X-1a:2001 or PDF/X-3:2002)
.JPEG (High Quality & Binary Encoded)

Preferred Program Formats
We work in a MAC environment. PNG, TIFF, or PDF files are the best formats to give us because those are what we print from. Here is a list of our preferred files and extensions.

All universal file formats (.eps, .tif, .jpg, .pdf)
Adobe Illustrator (C2 or lower) (.ai)
Adobe Photoshop (C2 or lower) (.psd)
If you are working with another software application, please call us.

Digital Application
Here are some things to consider while preparing your files to submit to us.

• High resolution files are ideal (minimum 200 dpi recommended at full output size)
• We can accept .tif and .jpg files - but they must be high resolution images.
• Images from web pages are too small and too low of resolution.
• Covert all fonts to outlines.
• PMS colors must be noted.
• Do not convert PMS colors to process.
• We prefer images to be embedded in Adobe Illustrator files. If files must be linked in a document, include the images and Illustrator file, all in the same folder.
